GAP - Planned logo change or clever PR?
GAP released the logo on the right to replace their logo on the left..... Then came the uproar from Twitter with many tweeting how much they loved the old logo and what it means to them... a quick turnaround from GAP back to the old logo then followed.... Clever PR?

Naked Kelly Brook - Will it Sell Trainers?
Reebok unveiled their latest outdoor advertising campaign recently, featuring brand ambassador Kelly Brook in nothing but a pair of their trainers. Personally I don't see how this will make women buy a pair of their 'Easy Tone' trainers, but it did get them in the press I suppose!
H&M to Open Online Store
Good news! H&M have finally decided to open up an online store in the UK. The site will go live this September. A good move from H&M, now I have somewhere to shop online for those essential basics!
Heineken bring 'Walk in Fridge' ad to TV and Cinema
I love this advert... It had great success online via a YouTube campaign and so Heineken have now decided to run this on TV and Cinema as well.

It's clear to see that a lot has changed over the last three years with regards to online communities!

Barclays £25m, five-year sponsorship of the Cycle Hire in London - Is it too much?
5,000 bikes are now available to rent across central London through the Barclays Cycle Hire scheme.
Barclays have a heavy branding presence on the bikes and docking stations, with them also becoming the sponsor of London's new "Cycle Superhighways". This has come under much criticism with London's cycling community for being too heavy. What do you think?

Guerrilla Marketing - Fitness First
This ad for Fitness First in Rotterdam is another great example of using outdoor advertising in the modern day. Using a guerrilla marketing initiative, unsuspecting people are subjected to having their weight lit up brightly on the ad board.
Domestic Violence Outdoor Ad
A very creative, responsive outdoor ad. The ad works by responding when people are looking at it and when they turn away reverts back to something else - getting the attention of other people around.

Dr Pepper - What's the worst that could happen?
Dr Pepper recently ran a controversial Facebook campaign. They created an application which allowed them to take over Facebook status updates for the chance to win £1000.
Users were given the option to choose how embarrassing the status should be, with more points being given for the most embarrassing, which in turn gave users a higher chance of winning the money.
Now somewhere down the line it all got a bit out of control.... The campaign resulted in a 14-year-old girl's status being taken over with a reference to a pornographic film. The status update said, "I watched '2 girls one cup' and felt hungry afterwards". The girl's mother said her daughter then searched for the film after reading her status. Since this incident the application can no longer be viewed online and Dr Pepper have stopped all on-going work with their Digital Agency.
